At the southern end Silicon Valley is where I live. I remember " the Valley of Hearts Delight " to be a peaceful country town, a farming community of orchards and row crops.  Before that it was a peaceful valley between to hills, full of large oaks.  There were so many oak trees  providing shade for deer, bobcats & the Ohlone Indians.  Migrating geese and ducks migrated through twice a year, stopping near ponds & creeks, with the sycamore trees for a rest.  The migration continues and when I hear the geese calling, I think they are calling me on to a new adventure.

Now the oaks are gone, the orchards and row crops are gone.  In my artwork I want to imbue the quiet, sereneness of those days.  To capture that ethereal sense.  We are blessed we have many lovely county parks we may visit to give us a glimpse of nature.
